Recommendations

Bats:

• Bats are supplied by the league, however many players purchase their
  own. Keep the following restrictions in mind when purchasing a bat for
  use in the rec. league. Bats must have a "softball" label and be
  approved by the ASA. Look for a bat with an ASA certification label.

Helmets:

• Due to popular demand, we will continue to be using visors instead of
  hats. Visors do not offer as much protection against transmittable
  problems such as lice. The League supplies about four helmets for each
  team. Players may use their own ASA approved helmet if desired. Keep in
  mind that approved chin straps and cages are also required.
